Uno de los usos de este tiempo es para hablar de acciones que se realizan con cierta regularidad, por ejemplo todos los días o una vez por semana, tres veces al mes, dos veces al año, etc. Para este uso, también se pueden utilizar los ADVERBIOS DE FRECUENCIA: always, often, usually, sometimes, never y otros para las acciones que se realizan con regularidad. Algunos ejemplos:

A. QUESTIONS – INTERROGATIVE FORM: Preguntas en inglés (QUESTIONS)

En inglés hay dos grupos de preguntas según su respuesta: aquellas que se responden “YES” o “NO” y aquellas que no se responde ni “Yes” ni “No”. En el tiempo PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE las preguntas en inglés necesitan de dos (verbos) AUXILIARES: DO Y DOES, estos no tienen traducción y sólo sirven para señalar tiempo y persona, el tiempo que señalan es el presente (simple); DO es para las personas o sujetos: I, You, We, They y equivalentes a estos y DOES es para las personas o sujetos: He, She, It y equivalentes a estos.
